The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has received recognition for its contribution to improving the digital transformation of companies and institutions in the Canary Islands.

The recognition has been granted by The Cajasiete-ULL Chair of Big Data, Open Data and Blockchain, developed by the University of La Laguna and the Canary Islands financial institution Cajasiete, for the work of the Chamber in the distribution of the MAPA BOB, a digital self-diagnosis tool that has allowed companies that used it to know their current digitization situation and propose improvements.

The MAPA BOB, which will have a new version this year, has contributed to giving an idea of the level of digitization of the Canary Islands, which is currently 22 points out of 100 possible.

The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, chaired by José Valle Martínez, acts as a Public Law Corporation that defends the general interests of commerce, industry, services and navigation. The Institution is made up of all the commercial, industrial and service companies in the area.

The Cajasiete-ULL Chair aims to contribute to the digital transformation and the development of public-private business models in the Canary Islands through research, training and dissemination in the field of Big Data, Open Data and Blockchain.
