The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa held the forum "Digitize your SME to lead the change", framed in the Oficinas Acelera Pyme para Kit Digital program, focused on the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the local business fabric.
The event, which was held at Marina Innova Hub, brought together numerous SMEs and professionals from the island interested in discovering how to apply this technology strategically to improve their competitiveness, efficiency and adaptability in an increasingly digital environment.
The day was inaugurated by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, José Valle, who stressed the urgent need to accompany small and medium-sized companies in their digitization process, especially in a territory like Lanzarote, where the business fabric plays a key role in economic and social development.
He stressed the potential of artificial intelligence as an engine of real transformation and reiterated the Chamber's firm commitment to innovation, knowledge and business modernization.
The forum featured the participation of two experts of international prestige. Enrique Dans, professor at IE Business School and renowned disseminator in innovation and digital transformation, gave a presentation focused on how artificial intelligence can be effectively integrated into the daily operations of SMEs.
He explained that this technology should not be understood as a passing fad, but as a strategic opportunity to redefine processes, improve decisions and adapt with agility to changes in the business environment.
For his part, Julián Isla, engineer and international reference in the use of artificial intelligence in the health field, shared his experience leading projects focused on the development of technological solutions applied to health.
During his speech, he offered a humanistic and ethical vision of the use of these technologies, transferring to the business context how these same principles can be applied to promote more efficient, responsible and people-oriented processes.
Throughout the day, the opportunities offered by the Kit Digital program to promote the incorporation of artificial intelligence solutions in SMEs were also addressed. It was highlighted how these initiatives facilitate the progressive adoption of innovative technologies, adapted to the real needs of each business.
The speakers shared practical keys to get the most out of these tools, promoting a sustainable, scalable and aligned digitization with the strategic objectives of the companies.
The event included a networking space where attendees could exchange ideas, ask questions and generate synergies with other professionals in the sector.
The Oficinas Acelera pyme para Kit Digital launched by Red.es, a public entity attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, with the collaboration of the Chamber of Spain, aim to promote the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, micro-enterprises and the self-employed.
The actions are financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan through NextGenerationEU funds, within the framework of the Spain Digital 2026 agenda and the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025.
