The average price of second-hand tourism cars rose in the Canary Islands by 4.7% in March compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 11,487 euros, according to data published this Tuesday by the National Association of Vehicle Dealers (Ancove).

In Spain as a whole, the average cost of one of these vehicles in March was 12,849 euros, although when compared to a year ago, it increased proportionally less than that of the islands, by 1.7%, as highlighted in a statement by said employers' association.

Ancove has detailed that the oldest cars, those over eight years old, were paid for in the Canary Islands at an average of 8,226 euros in March, representing a 4.2% increase in year-on-year terms.

Meanwhile, throughout the country, on average, these vehicles were sold last month for 9,863 euros, a figure that was 3.3% higher than that recorded in March 2023.
