The Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) Vinos de Lanzarote will celebrate the eleventh edition of Malvasía Week between November 3rd and 9th, an event that transforms the island into a stage for experiencing wine through the senses. The event coincides with World Wine Tourism Day, which is commemorated on the second Sunday of November, an event that seeks to highlight the cultural richness of wine, promote tourism in wine regions, and promote sustainability.
With a program that combines oenology, art, gastronomy, and local culture, Malvasía Week pays tribute to Lanzarote's wine-making identity and its unique landscape.
The program will open on Monday, November 3rd at the Casa-Museo del Campesino, with the experience Astronomy and Wines of Lanzarote, guided by Astronomía Lanzarote. A magical date under the stars to discover the Lanzarote sky accompanied by wines from the island.
On Tuesday the 4th, Bodega Vulcano will host the workshop Candles and Wines of Lanzarote, taught by Iranti Velas, where participants will learn to make handmade candles with fragrances inspired by the nuances of Lanzarote wine.
On Wednesday the 5th, the Synesthetic Tasting will arrive at Finca Testeina, of the Bodega de Yuco, a sensory proposal that invites you to enjoy wine through the senses, sounds, and emotions.
On Thursday the 6th, the Lilium Restaurant will become the setting for the meeting VINOmios (Im)perfectos, a gastronomic experience in which attendees will play at discovering the perfect pairing between wine and creative cuisine.
On Friday the 7th, the artist Rufina Santana will open the doors of her studio, Lanzarote Art Center, to share an eno-artistic experience, where wine is transformed into a source of plastic inspiration and a reflection of the volcanic soul of Lanzarote.
The week will conclude on Sunday the 9th with the Route through the Wine Landscape, a tour to enjoy one of the most unique wine-growing landscapes on the planet. A route through three emblematic enclaves of La Geria, it will end with a snack and a toast that will close a week of unique experiences.
Throughout the week, gastronomy lovers will be able to enjoy ConVinados, a culinary experience available at the Nakai restaurant in Playa Honda, which will offer a special menu paired with wines from the island.
Full details of the scheduled activities will be available on the official website. Tickets for the events can be purchased via the forms available on the 'Vinos de Lanzarote' social media.
The Regulatory Council of the Lanzarote Wine DO invites residents and visitors to join this celebration of wine and creativity, thanking the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, and the Cajamar Foundation for their collaboration, whose support makes this annual event possible.
