Puertos Canarios has put up for auction two boats that have been abandoned to their fate in Playa Blanca. The law allows these boats to be sold when their owners are no longer able to repair them or renew port permits, in order to avoid pollution of the marine environment.

This time, in the province of Las Palmas, boats from four ports will be auctioned: Playa Blanca, Corralejo, Gran Tarajal and Morro Jable, the last three in Fuerteventura. Interested people will be able to visit the boats in these ports.

In the case of Playa Blanca, El Jimmy, a boat in very poor condition and that "is running its last starts" is auctioned for 2,000 euros. The boat is a Sunseeker brand and the Renegade 50 model.

In addition, in the same port a sailboat from 1908 is also auctioned, under the name of Ora et Labora, in this case its price is 130,000 euros.

Meanwhile, in Morro Jable, El Caribe and Jesús y David are available to repair or scrap for parts from one cent; and Aisaya and Martina IV, for just four hundred (400 euros) and nine hundred euros (900 euros), respectively.

In Gran Tarajal, El Scandalizer, with its almost ten meters in length, starts at fifteen thousand euros (15,000 euros) to continue sailing.

In Corralejo, the sailboat Gin tonic uno can be set up to continue enjoying the trade winds for a little more than the drink costs: three thousand eight hundred euros (3,800 euros).

The ports owned by the Autonomous Community, managed by the Puertos Canarios entity, are open to the public every day and their staff is available to show the boats until October 18; deadline in which sailors must have complied with the mandatory procedure of constituting a guarantee for 25% of the value of the transferred asset, in addition to registering a sealed envelope, with their offer in one of the two offices open in the Canary capitals:
