The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Open Government Area, managed by Councilor Aroa Revelo, and the Acciones Unidas association, have organized the first Meeting between Latin American professionals and entrepreneurs and the island's Cabildo, called My name is Lanzarote.
This is an event that seeks to strengthen ties between the Latin American community and Lanzarote society, promoting the exchange of ideas, experiences and projects for the construction of a more inclusive and collaborative future.
The meeting, which will take place on December 16 from 10:00 in the morning in the Assembly Hall of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, includes a program of activities, among which the celebration of the General Assembly of Citizens with the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, and which will be mediated by José Alamo, social worker, political scientist, sociologist and expert in Intercultural Mediation.
“This first meeting”, says the president of the Cabildo, “will be a great opportunity to share ideas and perspectives with all those professionals and entrepreneurs who have come to our island from other countries in
Latin America to contribute to the growth of our society and enrich it with their talent, effort and cultural diversity.”
Betancort emphasizes that “Lanzarote, as a welcoming land, is proud to open its doors to those who have decided to be part of its community, working together to build a place where respect, solidarity and cooperation are the fundamental pillars.”
The Councilor for Open Government, Aroa Revelo, stresses, for her part, that “with this event, we want to highlight the richness of cultural exchange and the value of people as an engine of social and economic transformation.
Lanzarote is a place of encounter and coexistence, and events like this reaffirm our commitment to building a more open, fair and cohesive society.”
The I Meeting of Latin American professionals and entrepreneurs and the Cabildo of Lanzarote will also host various conferences. Carlos Giménez, professor of anthropology at the Complutense University, expert in Human Rights and creator of IMEDES, will offer the talk 'Building territories for intercultural coexistence' and the conference on leadership.
Another of the conferences is entitled: 'The double A of success: attitude and action', and will be given by the coach and speaker Cova Bertrand.
Participation in this event is free and is open to all interested persons who must register in advance through a WhatsApp message to the number 669-411038.
