The Cabildo of Lanzarote is pleased that the ‘Consume Lanzarote’ initiative has sold out the more than 7,600 cards offered in about two hours. In its second edition, the initiative carried out in collaboration with Felapyme is exceeding all expectations, and has 215 participating establishments where citizens who have acquired some of these cards can redeem them.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, highlighted the great reception of the second edition of this project and the effort made by the island's Cabildo “to open new doors and generate more growth opportunities for a sector that has suffered so much in recent years, such as local commerce.”
“These figures represent a record for the initiative and break all the records of the past edition, but also the perspectives we had before launching it. This demonstrates the great idea that the creation of "Consume Lanzarote" has been and encourages us to continue promoting ideas that are so necessary for the commercial sector,” Corujo stressed.
In the same vein, the island's Councilor for Commerce, Carmen Guadalupe, thanked the more than 200 participating businesses and highlighted that “230,000 euros have already been spent through the cards already acquired, which represent 460,000 euros of direct injection into our small businesses.”
“This campaign is not only about promoting commercial activity, but also about giving visibility to local businesses, those where they know us and take care of us, in addition to favoring customer loyalty and generating a unique shopping experience,” the councilor recalled.
Although the cards have already sold out, businesses that have not yet joined can continue to do so by entering the website www.consumelanzarote.es until April 30.
