The Ministry of Finance of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported that in the last quarter of the year the bonus for fuel consumption will be maintained on the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, but not on those of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, since their differential with respect to the average price in the capital islands is negative.
In this way, between October 1 and December 31, the bonus on the price of fuel will be 25 cents per liter in El Hierro and 20 cents per liter in La Gomera, the same as in La Palma, an island in which it is applied directly due to its "special situation of economic recovery".
Hacienda has explained in a statement that the variation in the amounts and islands in which the bonus is applied is determined quarterly according to the average prices compared to those of Gran Canaria and Tenerife for the same period.
The average of the supply prices of G95 gasoline and GOA diesel in Gran Canaria and Tenerife during July, August and the first half of September was 1.18 euros, a figure that is taken as a reference, with the exception of La Palma.
In La Gomera the average price was 1.36 euros and in El Hierro it was 1.42, while in Lanzarote it was 1.14 euros and in Fuerteventura it was 1.16 euros.
Lanzarote will also not have a fuel bonus until the end of the year
