The Renewable Energy One-Stop Shop (VUER), an initiative by the Cabildo of Lanzarote pioneering in Spain, driven by the Energy Department and managed by the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, has launched the new Photovoltaic Performance Calculator.
The tool is born with the purpose of bringing solar energy closer to citizens in a simple, understandable, and personalized way, making it easy for anyone to know the photovoltaic potential of their home or business in just a few seconds.
Despite Lanzarote and La Graciosa having one of the highest solar irradiation rates in Europe, many people are still unaware of the real capacity of their roofs to generate clean energy.
The new calculator allows these doubts to be cleared up immediately. Through an intuitive interface, the user only needs to enter a few basic data points and instantly obtains an indicative estimate of the energy it could produce, the annual economic savings it would achieve, and the positive environmental impact derived from its installation, including CO₂ emissions avoided and equivalences represented through everyday examples that make the climate benefit more tangible.
By transforming technical information into clear and accessible results, the tool becomes initial guidance for those considering investing in self-consumption.
The tool allows for the analysis of how performance would vary in different scenarios and facilitates comparison between power outputs, locations, or energy prices, providing greater transparency and security when making decisions.
