César Manrique Airport recorded more than 8.7 million passengers during 2024, which is equivalent to an increase of 6.1% compared to the previous year.
In December, the island's airport recorded a total of 733,795 passengers, 4.4% more than during the same month of the previous year, according to data provided by Aena.
The group of airports in the Canary Islands closed 2024 with a passenger traffic of 52.8 million people, 9% more than last year.
By airports, Gran Canaria recorded the highest number of passengers with 15.2 million, representing an increase of 9% compared to the previous year. It is followed by Tenerife South Airport, with 13.7 million passengers, 11.4% more.
After the Lanzarote airport, there are Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, 6,762,702 (+10.5%); Fuerteventura, 6,445,965 (+7.1%); La Palma, 1,496,023 (+9.3); El Hierro, 322,110 (+6.9%); and La Gomera, 120,707 passengers (+6.5%).
Regarding the December data in the rest of the airports in the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria recorded the highest number of passengers with 1,448,449 (+7.2%), while in Tenerife South there were 1,289,180 (+5.8%).
After César Manrique, the Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport, with 574,087 (+13.2%); Fuerteventura, with 563,814 (+8.7%); La Palma, with 132,528 (+3.3%); El Hierro, with 25,656 (+6.9%); and La Gomera, with 9,579 (+9.9%).
