Taxpayers who want to direct debit the result of their 2023 income tax return if it is payable will have until this Wednesday to submit their settlement, according to the Tax Agency's calendar.

The 2023 income tax campaign is in its final stretch, just a few days before the deadline for submitting returns ends on July 1, although you can still request an appointment for the preparation of the return by telephone or in person at offices.

The 2023 income tax campaign started on April 3, initially for the submission of returns online, a route that was later joined by the services of preparing settlements by telephone and in person.

These personalized services - which are available to taxpayers who meet certain requirements, including that their employment income does not exceed 65,000 euros - will be provided until the last day of the campaign, with an appointment that can be requested until June 28.

The deadline for submitting the settlement will end in all cases on July 1, except for those taxpayers with a return to be paid who want to direct debit the result, who will have to do so before this Wednesday, June 26.

The Tax Agency expects to receive 23.3 million returns in this campaign, most of them (14.6 million) to be refunded, for a total amount of 11.65 billion euros.
