In mid-July, the average price of gasoline in Lanzarote was 1.377 euros per liter, making the island, along with El Hierro, the most expensive place in the archipelago to purchase this fuel.
A month later, the general decrease in the price of fuels, plus the entry of a new gas station on the island with lower prices, has led to a decrease in the average price on the island of more than 18 cents, reaching 1.191 euros.
Diesel has also experienced a significant price decrease. On July 24, its average price on the island was 1.352 euros per liter, while at the end of August, the liter costs an average of 1.181 euros.
For its part, gasoline 98 has also registered a marked decrease in its average price in Lanzarote. In July, this fuel was sold on average at 1.505 euros per liter, while at the end of August it was 1.356 euros.
The cheapest 95 gasoline on the island is currently found at the Plenoil establishment in Arrecife, where it is sold at 1.082 euros, followed by the SPL in Tías, where it costs 1.099 euros.
The cheapest diesel is also offered at Plenoil, where it is priced at 1.072 euros. The second best price is also at the SPL in Tías, where it is offered at 1.098 euros.
For its part, the best price for gasoline 98 is located at the Cepsa gas station on the way to the airport, where it is priced at 1.269 euros, followed by the PCAN in Arrieta, where it is priced at 1.279 euros.
