Canary Islands Ports auctions four abandoned vessels in Lanzarote

Puertos Canarios has called for the alienation, through public auction, of eleven vessels declared abandoned in port facilities directly managed by the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. Of these eleven, four are located in Lanzarote. The call corresponds to the July 2026 Auction, file 1312/2026, and is published in the Contractor's Profile section. Entity Auctions.

The procedure aims to organize the situation of abandoned goods in port areas and promote the availability of spaces, moorings, and berths. The call resolution recalls that the presence of abandoned goods can hinder port activity and reduce the occupancy capacity of the public port domain.

Object and procedure

The auction is processed as a public ascending auction in a sealed bid. Each vessel constitutes an independent lot and no bids will be accepted below the bidding price.

The tender documents provide for two calls in the same act: if a lot is not awarded in the first call, a second call will be held without interruption, with a reserve price of 75% of the amount of the first bid.

Submission of bids and guarantee

The deadline for submitting bids is 30 calendar days from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands, until 2:00 PM on the expiration date. Bids must be submitted at the Registration offices of Puertos Canarios: calle Luis Doreste Silva, n.º 2, Entreplanta Edificio Tamarco, 35004 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; or calle La Marina, n.º 53, Edificio Europa, 1.ª planta, 38001 Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The provisional guarantee required is 25% of the base alienation price of the lot being bid on. For the deposit of guarantees, Puertos Canarios indicates on its website the IBAN account ES20 2100 8987 3102 0006 9106, specifying in the concept the bidder's full name and the lot or vessel number.

Visits and documentation

The vessels can be visited in the ports where they are located until the deadline for submitting bids, during normal office hours and after coordination in accordance with the tender documents. Public Auction Event

The public auction event will be held in the Boardroom of the Puertos Canarios headquarters in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, within the month following the end of the offer submission period.
