The Lanzarote Tourism Federation (FTL) and the Lanzarote Association of Hotel and Apartment Entrepreneurs (ASOLAN) have successfully concluded the 15th edition of their Solidarity Toy Drive Campaign, with a total collection of 5,965 euros, which has allowed gifts to be delivered to 154 children from Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
"Fifteen years later, this campaign continues to grow because there are committed companies and individuals who understand social responsibility as part of their activity," highlighted the president of ASOLAN and FTL, Susana Pérez, who believes that "the data from this edition confirm that when the sector works in a coordinated manner, a direct and tangible social impact is achieved."Pérez has thanked the participating companies this year, which include Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa, Relaxia Hotels & Resorts, Hibiscus Hotels, Hotel Alexandre Teguise Playa, Hotel Costa Calero Thalasso & SPA, Plus Fariones Suite Hotel, H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens, Hotel Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort, Aloe Plus Lanzarote, Guía en Lanzarote, and Restaurante Bagatela; as well as the individuals who have wanted to join with their donations
The ASOLAN and FTL Solidarity Toy Drive aims to ensure that no child is left without a gift at Christmas, promoting values such as solidarity, cooperation, and shared social responsibility. Throughout its fifteen editions, it has mobilized companies, tourism sector workers, and citizens, strengthening the bond between the business community and Lanzarotean society.
This initiative is part of the commitment of both entities to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 1 (No poverty), SDG 10 (Reduced inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the goals), as well as the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which recognizes play as a fundamental right for child development.
From ASOLAN and the Lanzarote Tourism Federation, they have positively valued the outcome of this edition, reaffirming their commitment to continue promoting solidarity actions that contribute to social well-being and support for children and the most vulnerable families
