Artificial intelligence, drones and astrophotography star in the Canary Islands science and innovation week

Artificial intelligence, drones and astrophotography will alternate with astronomy from a female perspective, or psychomotricity with robotics for the elderly in the Science and Innovation Week in the Canary Islands organized by the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (Aciisi) between November 14 and 20.

"It will be a journey around the scientific and innovative world in seven days, where you can learn about the connection of the islands with some of the most relevant milestones in the history of international science, and all the areas, initiatives or projects in which the Canary Islands is at the forefront of research," according to the Ministry of Economy of the Government of the Canary Islands.

In the case of Lanzarote, it is about volcanic activity, 'Lanzarote scientific territory', will bring together young people from all over the archipelago to investigate volcanic activity in Timanfaya.

In total there are about fifty free activities, in online or face-to-face format, which can be consulted on the Aciisi website. The activities include open days, guided scientific visits and routes; courses and workshops; round tables, meetings, talks and conferences.

Science and Innovation Week is aimed at all citizens of the Canary Islands, but has specific activities for high school and training cycle students, teachers, general, specialized and university public, business and entrepreneurial public, associations and groups from all the islands.
