All municipalities in Lanzarote grew in number of companies in 2022

The municipality of Yaiza shows the greatest dynamism in the creation of companies, with a growth of 4.5%

The municipalities of Lanzarote closed 2022 with 96 more companies than they had at the beginning of the year, according to data published by the Lanzarote Data Center with figures from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).

The municipality of Yaiza is the one that showed the greatest dynamism in the creation of companies compared to the figures with which it started the year. Between January and December 2022, it added 28 new companies. A growth of 4.5%, so that it went from having 608 businesses at the beginning of the year to 636 at the close of 2022.

The second municipality that has proportionally increased the most in the number of companies has been Tinajo, where 4 new companies have been created during 2022, equivalent to a growth of 3%. The total number of companies in Tinajo currently amounts to 135 businesses.

Next is Haría, which has added 3 new companies, a growth of 2.8%, so that it closes the year with a total of 111 businesses.

 

In proportion, the one that grows the least is Arrecife

Tías is in fourth place with 27 new companies, growing by 2.6%, and closed the year with a total of 1,052 companies.

The 10 new companies that have been established during the past year in San Bartolomé represent a growth of the business fabric in the municipality of 2.2%. The total number of companies in San Bartolomé amounts to 469 businesses.

Teguise closed 2022 with 14 more companies than at the beginning of the year, which represents a growth of 2%. The total number of companies in this municipality is 714.

The capital of the island, despite hosting a large number of companies, 1,874 at present, has only grown by 0.6% during 2022, since it has added 10 businesses.
