64.3% of the population of Lanzarote stated during the second quarter of the year that they had some difficulty making ends meet, according to the Consumer Confidence Indicators (ICC) of the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).
The percentage decreased by 1.8% compared to last year's data when the number of respondents who had some difficulty making ends meet reached 66.1%.
Among them, the number of people who say they have a lot of difficulty decreased more. This year they were 32% of the respondents, while last year they were 34.3%.
Those who stated that they had some difficulty remained practically the same: 31.9% this year compared to 31.8% last year.
On the other hand, the residents of Lanzarote who stated that they make ends meet easily this year represent 35.2% of the respondents, while last year they were 34%.
Among them, those who make ends meet somewhat easily are 17.6%, while last year they were 24.9%.
Those who stated that they make ends meet with great ease were 17.6% this year, while last year they were 9.1% of the respondents.
