This Wednesday the first establishment of the German food chain ALDI in Lanzarote has opened its doors. The supermarket, which is located on the Rambla Medular in Arrecife, has an area of more than 1,300 m2 and a staff of 27 workers.
The new Aldi supermarket, specialized in offering quality at the lowest possible prices, includes more than 360 local items, from 60 Canarian producers, 20% of its assortment.
This new opening in Arrecife is the tenth Aldi in the Canary Islands, where it first landed in July 2022. In addition to Lanzarote, the supermarket chain is present in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura.
In total, Aldi provides more than 250 direct jobs in the archipelago through its establishments and the logistics platform in the municipality of Agüimes (Gran Canaria).
