Spar Lanzarote is a 100% Lanzarote company, with more than 60 years of history behind it.
The company started selling in its first little store located in the heart of Arrecife, on Canalejas street. It was a neighborhood store managed by the founder of the company, Don Marcial González.
That entrepreneurial spirit that characterized him, together with the effort and dedication of the whole family, made the company prosper and expand its business.
More than 20 years ago they decided to join the SPAR and EUROSPAR commercial brands, coinciding in values such as closeness, freshness and quality that they had already been working on.
Currently, Spar Lanzarote generates more than 600 direct jobs, is supplied by local distributors and suppliers, something very important and that undoubtedly provides many indirect jobs.

New logistics center
The evolution of the food distribution company in recent years has culminated with the implementation of a new logistics center, with an area of 18,000 m2. A pioneering center in energy consumption, in which almost 70% of consumption is self-supplied with the photovoltaic and geothermal installations that the warehouse has.
With these pioneering facilities at an industrial level, Spar Lanzarote manages to have a storage space to supply the island for three months, which allows it an extraordinary distribution capacity among its twenty establishments spread throughout the island and in which a staff of more than 600 workers works.
