Manrique's last great spatial work in Lanzarote deserves that those of us who live on this island rediscover it in more depth.
The Unusual Experience proposed by the CACT in the Cactus Garden invites you to contemplate this inspiring place through the eyes of the artist. You will be able to know in detail the last great intervention of César Manrique in Lanzarote, through a guided visit for exclusive groups.
A space of great beauty where art meets the love for nature and the environment, in a set that summarizes the rich mix of languages and artistic techniques that Manrique practiced and that he himself called "total art": spatial intervention, public art, gardening, design, painting, sculpture….

The Unusual Experience will allow you to know details and anecdotes about the construction of the center and its historical and ethnographic link with the environment in which it is located next to the town of Guatiza, surrounded by prickly pear farms for the traditional cultivation of cochineal, with which natural dyes are obtained and which was an important economic engine for Lanzarote since the late nineteenth century.
As a culmination, to activate all our senses, visitors will enjoy an aperitif made with local products and specialties created from prickly pear and prickly pear fruit.
