Mumbai Masala celebrates the tenth anniversary of the opening of its first establishment in Lanzarote, the starting point of a story marked by flavor, trust, and the people who have accompanied the brand during this decade.
What began as a gastronomic proposal to bring Indian cuisine to the island has become, ten years later, a consolidated project that has grown both within and outside of Lanzarote. Currently, Mumbai Masala has five open establishments and is preparing for the upcoming opening of a sixth establishment, a new step in a trajectory that maintains the essence with which it was born intact.
During these ten years, Mumbai Masala has not only served Indian food. It has built relationships. From within, with the people who have been part of its team and have contributed to the project's growth; and from outside, with clients, families, friends, and visitors who have returned time and again, giving meaning to each stage of the journey.
“When I think of these ten years, I don't think about the restaurants, I think about the people,” Rohit Datwani, founder and director of Mumbai Masala.
From its first steps in Lanzarote, Mumbai Masala helped many people discover a new gastronomy, marked by aromas, spices, and a different way of understanding the table. However, with the passage of time, that experience went beyond the gastronomic product itself, becoming a space for meeting, closeness, and trust.
That bond with people has been, precisely, one of the driving forces behind the brand's growth. The trust of those who bet on Mumbai Masala from the first day, of those who sat down for the first time to try a different cuisine, and of those who, over the years, made its restaurants a place to return to.
“Thanks to all the people who have worked with us. Thanks to those who have trusted Mumbai Masala from the first day. Thanks to those who have accompanied us during these ten years. We have not built this story alone. We have built it together,” adds Datwani.
With a presence also in Tenerife, Mumbai Masala faces this new stage looking to the future, but without losing sight of the origin of its story: Lanzarote, the island where it opened its first establishment and where a trajectory that continues to grow today began.
This tenth anniversary thus becomes an opportunity to thank, celebrate, and recognize all the people who have been part of the journey.
Mumbai Masala celebrates 10 years since the opening of its first establishment in Lanzarote, a story built around flavor, trust, and people.
