Lanzarote welcomed this Monday a Brazilian delegation from the city of Natal, one of the most important cities in the South American country, with more than one million inhabitants in its metropolitan area. The reason for the visit is based on the consolidation of possible new market niches for Canarian businessmen, since Brazil, as an emerging country, seeks knowledge to improve its infrastructures and services.
The expedition has been promoted by the company Lanzarote Inversiones Exteriores S.A., with the official collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and Proexca. The Brazilian delegation is composed of the mayor of Natal, Carlos Eduardo Alves, the Secretary of Tourism of the aforementioned locality and the vice president of the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce, Casio Romano, and the director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Canary Islands, Alexander Bolsón.
This delegation will visit health facilities, reverse osmosis plants for water desalination in Lanzarote, and this Tuesday had a meeting with the Tourist Board to discuss sustainable tourism and tourism business development and with the tour operator TUI Spain to study the possibility of putting an airline that connects Brazil with the Canary Islands in direct flight.
The company Lanzarote Inversiones Exteriores S.A, promoter of this initiative, has been investing in Natal for years and can share the experience in this country when doing business.
