The Hospiten Group offers the population that requires it the performance of COVID-19 detection tests, with the aim of identifying patients infected by the virus, as well as those who have generated protection against it by analyzing their immune response through the study of IgM and IgG antibodies.

Hospiten offers individuals with a medical prescription access to the test in its centers in the Canary Islands. To do this, Hospiten patients must call their reference center and request a free COVID-19 video consultation, so that the doctor can advise and prescribe the most appropriate test and finally, if carried out, communicate the results.

The tests that are available are the qualitative detection by PCR, which allows to know if a patient is infected or not, and the antibody tests, both the qualitative test of IgG and IgM antibodies (the well-known rapid test) and the quantitative test of IgG and IgM antibodies.

After an individualized clinical evaluation, it may be recommended to carry out the test on different groups that, due to their activity, may have been more exposed, or that may endanger other workers and other people related to the company.

This new service is part of the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO) that advises testing among the population to be able to isolate infected people. In addition, these tests are decisive for a return to normality.

In parallel, it maintains its services at full capacity for the daily operation of all its centers, including 24-hour emergencies, hospitalization, ICU, outpatient consultations, operating rooms, laboratory, radiodiagnosis and dialysis unit.

With 50 years of experience, Hospiten has twenty private medical-hospital centers in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and Panama, serving more than 1,700,000 patients from all over the world annually, and with a staff of more than 5,000 people.
