AGC Hospitality Asset Management, a tourism asset manager based in Lanzarote, launches SONNA Hotels & Apartments, its operator brand specializing in the hotel and non-hotel management of independent hotels, tourist complexes, and apartment buildings in the Canary Islands and on the mainland. A proposal built from real operations, not from theory: in a year and a half of activity, AGC has developed and tested in its own portfolio the technology, processes, and management model that it now offers to the hotel market.
At the helm of AGC Hospitality Asset Management is Álvaro González, a professional with a career built on the strategic vertices of the hotel and real estate sectors: former asset manager at Orinoquia Real Estate SOCIMI and with experience in real estate asset valuation (Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE), hotel investments, and management of tourism asset portfolios. A combination of financial vision, asset analysis, and knowledge of real hotel operations that gives him a 360º perspective on the entire accommodation asset cycle.

From zero to 23 assets in a year and a half
Established at the end of 2024, AGC has reached 23 assets under management in eighteen months, of which 12 are already in operation under the premium holiday brand Villalize. Growth that has not been improvised: on these assets, the company has deployed its own revenue management, multi-channel distribution, commercialization, and operational management technology, developed with a multidisciplinary team present in the Canary Islands, Madrid, and Palma de Mallorca.
The result is a model tested in real conditions, with occupancy, profitability, and guest satisfaction data supporting every decision. SONNA Hotels & Apartments is the next step: scaling that model to the hotel market.
A market with a clear need
Behind the launch of SONNA is a precise market diagnosis. There is a broad segment of owners, independent hotels, tourist apartment complexes, and family-owned assets with good locations and products with potential, which are not achieving the returns they should. Not due to a lack of product, but due to a lack of structure. Prices set by inertia (non-existent revenue management), without technology or pricing strategy behind them. Excessive dependence on OTAs, unoptimized processes, scarce direct sales, and marketing that does not reflect the real value of the establishment.
SONNA Hotels & Apartments is aimed at that owner, whether they are looking to professionalize their management, facing a generational handover, need to reposition their product, or simply want to stop managing the day-to-day without losing control of their assets.
Digital Asset Light Model: professional management without losing control
The concept that underpins the entire proposal is the Digital Asset Light Model. Unlike traditional models that require the owner to cede control or assume large fixed cost structures, AGC operates the asset with maximum efficiency without the property losing decision-making power over its assets.
An Asset Light that goes beyond the contractual structure: proprietary technology, processes developed in a real portfolio, and operational execution that turns each asset into an efficient and competitive business. The model acts simultaneously on the two levers that determine the profitability of an accommodation asset: the revenue line and the cost structure. On the revenue side, through dynamic revenue management, channel optimization, strengthening direct sales, and reducing dependence on intermediaries. On the cost side, through standardized processes, operational automation, and elimination of friction that today consumes time and resources without generating value.
Each asset also incorporates the commercial backing of the SONNA brand, strengthening its market presence and competitive positioning, without necessarily implying a renunciation of the establishment's own identity.
Expansion Plan 2026–2030
AGC Hospitality begins the phase of attracting hotel and non-hotel assets to incorporate them into SONNA's operational management between 2026 and 2030. The plan contemplates growth on two axes: consolidation in the Canary Islands, a market where the company already has a proven presence, and expansion towards the Peninsula, focusing on specific destinations with consolidated tourist demand, repositioning potential, and the need for more efficient hotel management models to maximize profitability.
SONNA seeks visionary owners: hotels, resorts, and tourist apartment buildings with real potential who want to make the leap towards professionalized, efficient, and results-oriented management.
"Tourism evolves and hotel management must evolve with it. SONNA is born from a deep understanding of hotel operations, the real needs of the guest, and the trends that are redefining the sector. A model built from within, for owners who deserve management that matches their asset." Álvaro González CEO, AGC Hospitality Asset Management
