The Canary Islands once again exceeds 2,000 positive cases of Covid in one day and registers two deaths

The Islands currently have 13,138 active cases, of which 37 are admitted to the ICU and 292 remain hospitalized

This Tuesday, the Canary Islands adds 2,049 new cases of coronavirus, and in the last hours the death of two people in Tenerife, 63 and 84 years old, both with previous pathologies and in hospital admission, has been reported.

As of this Tuesday, a total of 3,341,351 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 7,578 correspond to Monday.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 421.06 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 847.17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 1,109 cases with a total of 7,144 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 669 more than the previous day and 4,468 active. Lanzarote adds 39 new cases with 305 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 51 new cases and 294 active. La Palma adds 120 new positives, so it has 647 active. La Gomera has 55 new positives, with 228 active cases, and El Hierro adds six new cases, so its assets are 52.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 312,479 with 13,138 active, of which 37 are admitted to the ICU and 292 remain hospitalized.
