The Canary Islands once again exceed 2,000 new cases of Covid and register four deaths

The Archipelago has 15,718 active cases, of which 38 are admitted to the ICU and 300 remain hospitalized

This Thursday, the Canary Islands added 2,069 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last few hours, the death of four people has been reported, three in Gran Canaria, between 76 and 97 years old, who were in hospital and had previous pathologies, and one in Tenerife, 59 years old, also in hospital and without previous pathologies.

Until this Thursday, a total of 3,274,280 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,535 correspond to Wednesday.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 415.31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 825.94 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 847 cases with a total of 6,633 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 907 more than the previous day and 7,341 active cases. Lanzarote adds 119 new cases with 634 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has 61 new cases and 539 active cases. La Palma adds 90 new positives, so it has 408 active cases. La Gomera has 27 new positives, and has 119 active cases, and El Hierro adds 18 new cases, so its active cases are 44.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 294,991 with 15,718 active cases, of which 38 are admitted to the ICU and 300 remain hospitalized.
