The directorate of the Canary Islands Volcanic Emergency Plan (Pevolca) has ordered the confinement of the population of Tazacorte, the San Borondón neighborhood and the scattered area from El Cardón to Camino Palomares to the north due to the arrival of lava flow 7 to the sea.
The impact of the lava with the sea, Pevolca warns, may cause emanations of gases harmful to the health of the population.
