Quevedo's audience has needed little more than eight hours to sell out the more than 225,000 tickets for the sixteen concerts with which his tour El Baifo Tour will finally kick off, eight of them at the Movistar Arena in Madrid and another eight at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.
When the general box office opened at noon, sources close to him were already warning that nearly 297,000 people had tried to purchase tickets for the two initially announced commitments, on April 9 and 10 in the capital and on July 1 and 2 in the Catalan city.
In just two minutes, the nearly 60,000 tickets for those four concerts were sold out, so new "shows" were added in both cities, which also progressively put up the "sold out" sign.
Finally, Quevedo will perform at the Movistar Arena on April 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15, as well as May 17, 18, and 20, with no possibility of scheduling more events in Madrid due to the venue's lack of availability, as those same sources informed EFE.
In Barcelona, he will be on July 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, as well as May 31 and June 1, the last dates to be announced in this city and also the last to sell out shortly before 8 p.m., only eight hours after the start of general sales.
The organization has emphasized that this is the "peninsular" tour, which leaves the door open for future performances at least in the insular territory, especially considering that the album that gives the tour its name is dedicated to the Canary Islands.
'El Baifo', his third studio album, was very well received on digital platforms to the point that the 16 tracks that make it up debuted among the twenty most listened to in Spain.
In fact, 'La Graciosa' and 'Al golpito' remain at number 1 and 2 on the song list, and the album has not moved from the first position since its release 7 weeks ago, even despite Bad Bunny's historic residency in Spain, who follows him at number 2 after increasing his listens on Spotify in this country by 55%.
