The island of La Palma has registered more than 70 earthquakes during the last night --since 00.00 hours--, one of them of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter Scale and located in El Paso at 05.15 hours and at a depth of nine kilometers, according to the National Geographic Institute.
The latest seismic movements on the island have been located in the municipalities of El Paso, Tazacorte and Fuencaliente, with depths between 6 and 14 kilometers.
Since the 'seismic swarm' began last weekend, the island has been deformed by 1.5 centimeters, seismic activity has been moving west and the average depth of earthquakes has been reduced.
