La Palma airport remains inoperative this Friday due to the accumulation of ash from the Cumbre Vieja volcano, as reported by Aena. The aerodrome has thus chained seven consecutive days without operating, since although it was announced this Thursday that it was back in operation, all inter-island flights of Binter and Canaryfly were finally cancelled, as was Iberia's daily connection with Madrid.

Likewise, for this Friday Binter has informed in a statement that, taking into account the latest evolution of the ash cloud, coming from the volcanic eruption, it has been forced "to temporarily halt the company's operations with La Palma until 13:00 hours on November 26".

In this sense, it states that the stoppage will be maintained until conditions improve and allow for safe flying. In this regard, it adds that the forecast is that the conditions to operate safely will improve by Sunday, November 28, "so the airline will reinforce connections with La Palma with eight new daily flights."

Specifically, there are three more frequencies scheduled with Tenerife Norte and one more with Gran Canaria.
