La Palma airport remains inoperative this Tuesday, for the fourth consecutive day, due to the accumulation of ash, as reported by Aena, which indicates that the established protocols are being applied, since the priority is safety.
It also states that they are working to restore operations as soon as possible, "as long as weather conditions allow."
In relation to this, Binter has reported in a statement that it has been forced to extend the temporary suspension of flights connecting with the island of La Palma until 1:00 p.m., so that the first flight scheduled for this Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., in principle, is maintained.
In any case, it clarifies that the operational shutdown will continue until conditions improve and allow for safe flying.
It adds that it will be reporting any news or changes that may occur through its usual channels, while recommending that before flying, the updated flight situation be consulted in the official media of the airline.
