La Palma Airport is once again operational after cleaning work carried out throughout the morning this Saturday to remove the accumulation of volcanic ash that had been deposited on the runway and on the platform.
According to Aena, the rain that had fallen in recent hours had complicated these cleaning tasks, hence the cleaning work has been intensified to recover the Airport's operability as soon as possible.
However, Aena advises passengers to check with their airline if they plan to fly, as there are companies that are keeping the flights they had scheduled for today paralyzed.
Specifically, this Saturday there are twenty operations scheduled in total at La Palma airport: twelve with Tenerife North, four with Gran Canaria, two with Madrid and another two with Barcelona.
