The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported this Wednesday 4,914 new cases of coronavirus in the Archipelago. In addition, six deaths have been recorded, bringing the total number of deaths in the archipelago to 1,124.
The Accumulated Incidence (AI) continues to rise and stands at 944.51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 7 days and 1,502.65 cases at 14 days.
Until this Wednesday, a total of 2,712,921 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, with a positive rate of 20.74%, of which 21,492 correspond to Tuesday.
By islands, Tenerife once again leads the infections with 2,724 cases this Tuesday, increasing its active cases to 21,303, while Gran Canaria reports 1,507 cases and places the active cases at 10,823. Lanzarote adds 352 cases this Tuesday with a total of 1,504 active cases, and Fuerteventura registers 135 new infections, bringing its active cases up to 1,987. La Palma, for its part, adds 148 cases, bringing its accumulated total to 536 active cases; La Gomera reports 32 cases, raising its active cases to 279, and El Hierro adds 15 cases, with 107 active cases.
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has indicated that in total there are 36,543 active cases of which 67 are in the ICU (no variation) and 355 in the ward (+28).
