Intersindical Canaria has demanded that "criminal responsibilities be investigated in the face of irregular vaccinations against Covid-19", after several cases have already been confirmed in the archipelago.
From this organization they point out that they have been denouncing the "chaotic development of the vaccination process" by "the responsible public administrations, and especially in the Canary Health Service." "All this, within a context of terrible management of the pandemic to which must be added scarcity and delays in vaccines, the first tool available to fight against the virus and its devastating effects not only on health and life but, by extension, on the socio-economic system", they add.
In a statement, Intersindical Canaria affirms that there have been "numerous" those who "have used their public office, regardless of their political affiliation, to skip the vaccination criteria approved by the Ministry of Health itself. A fact that it considers that "in the case of the PSOE acquires a greater degree of responsibility, due to its link with the current government, which maintains silence and passivity, trying to cover up the offenders."
Thus, the union demands the Government "to publicize a nominal list of all those who have evaded the vaccination order", and the "immediate" resignation of their positions.
"If the Prosecutor's Office does not act ex officio, this organization will appear"
In addition, Intersindical Canaria requests the dismissal of the bishop of the Nivariense Diocese, "not only for non-compliance with the vaccination protocols, but based on the ecclesiastical leadership he occupies and the serious transgression and violation of the principles and observance of the church." "In addition, Bishop Bernardo Álvarez has displayed a lack of ethical and moral scruples by lying about the circumstances of his vaccination to try to escape unscathed from his deplorable behavior", considers the union organization.
"All these vaccinations are carried out when, on the date, those who were on the front line, the people most exposed to the virus and those in charge of caring for those affected by the pandemic had not started the process, nor was it known if there would be enough doses for them", he adds.
From Intersindical Canaria they insist that "responsibilities be investigated" and affirm that "if the Prosecutor's Office does not act ex officio, this organization will appear, since, without intending to exonerate those who have accepted to receive the immunization unduly, it is no less true that those responsible for managing the vaccination process have offered them that possibility".
