Fourteen migrants traveling aboard a small boat that was intercepted last Sunday while heading to the Canary Islands have tested positive for coronavirus, according to Europa Press sources from the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands.

These results were obtained after testing the 39 people traveling on the boat, specifically, 32 men, 4 women and 3 children, who were rescued by Maritime Rescue and taken to the port of Gran Tarajal, in Fuerteventura.

For several weeks, the Ministry of Health has been carrying out these tests on all migrants who are rescued when they try to reach the Canary coasts in a small boat.
