Four deaths with Covid and 190 new positives in four days in the Canary Islands

Currently, there are 99 people hospitalized for coronavirus in the archipelago, of which five are in the ICU and 94 are on the ward.

The Canary Islands have registered a total of four deaths linked to the coronavirus since last Friday. Of those deaths, two were reported in Gran Canaria, one in Tenerife and one in La Palma, aged between 66 and 89, who had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

In addition, 190 new positives for Covid-19 have been recorded in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 96,304 people. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days is 206.13 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days it is 94.28.
