The Municipal Police of Madrid has arrested Juan Carlos Campuzano Herrera, known as Capo Campuzano, one of the leaders of a criminal organization dedicated to large-scale drug trafficking and based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The arrest occurred on February 21 when agents of the Integral District Police Station of Hortaleza surprised him transporting several suitcases with utensils for weighing narcotics, as well as packages of drugs prepared for distribution, according to the body.

‘Capo Campuzano’, of Colombian nationality, was wanted by order of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas since April 2024.

The alleged drug trafficker was already arrested in Madrid in 2018 after several months fleeing from justice, which accused him at that time of drug trafficking, money laundering and criminal organization.
