Canary Islands registers 512 new cases of Covid and four deaths in the last 24 hours

The Canary Islands has reported a total of 512 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so that the accumulated number amounts to 106,835, while the deaths stand at 1,061 after registering four deaths, according to data from the Regional Ministry of Health.

The deaths occurred three on the island of Gran Canaria and one in Tenerife.

Of the total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands, 5,759 are active, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU, 245 remain hospitalized and 5,473 are in their homes.

Currently, the Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 115.63 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at 14 days it is at 226.57 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 210 cases to accumulate 50,326 cases, of which 2,351 are active; while Gran Canaria reports 195 new cases and reaches 40,995, of which 2,474 are active.

Also, Lanzarote adds 40 new cases to accumulate 7,723, of which 198 are epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura, meanwhile, reports 48 new cases to reach 5,522, of which 604 are active.

La Palma, meanwhile, adds 14 new positives and accumulates 1,321, of which 104 are active. La Gomera reports two new cases to accumulate 474, of which 23 are active; and El Hierro adds three new positives and accumulates 473, of which five are active cases.

Until this Thursday, a total of 2,462,401 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 6,912 correspond to the previous day.
