The Canary Islands has reported this Friday 507 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so that the accumulated number amounts to 107,342, while deaths stand at 1,062 after registering the death of a man, 78 years old, in Gran Canaria, who had previous pathologies and was in hospital, according to data from the Regional Ministry of Health.
Thus, of the total cases accumulated in the Canary Islands, 6,064 are active, of which 46 are admitted to the ICU, 242 remain hospitalized and 5,776 are in their homes.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 117.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 233.19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 206 new cases to accumulate 50,532, of which 2,483 are epidemiologically active; while Gran Canaria reports 210 more cases and accumulates 41,205, of which 2,585 are active.
Lanzarote, meanwhile, adds 17 new cases to accumulate 7,740, of which 213 are epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura reports 59 positives and accumulates 5,581, of which 649 are active.
Likewise, La Palma adds nine more positives and accumulates 1,330 cases, of which 100 are active. La Gomera adds five new cases to accumulate 479, of which 28 are active, and El Hierro adds a new positive, so its accumulated cases are 474, of which six are active.
To date, a total of 2,470,756 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 8,355 correspond to the previous day.
