Canary Islands registers 326 new infections and one death in Tenerife during the last 24 hours

The Canary Islands registered this Sunday 326 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 and the death of one person in Tenerife, in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health, which adds that these figures are pending validation by Public Health this Monday.

In this sense, the archipelago has a total of accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic of 105,480, of which 5,001 are active. Currently there are 39 patients admitted to an ICU and 212 remain hospitalized on the ward.

By islands, Tenerife has added 90 cases with a total of 49,820 accumulated cases and 2,047 epidemiologically active cases; and Gran Canaria has 40,439 accumulated cases, 150 more than the previous day and 2,139 active.

Lanzarote registered 27 new cases with 7,634 accumulated and 202 epidemiologically active; and Fuerteventura has 5,361 accumulated cases, with 52 new cases, and 506 active.

For its part, La Palma added six new positives, bringing the total to 1,288 accumulated and 86 active; El Hierro does not have new positives, so its accumulated are 469 and it has one active case; and La Gomera registered a new positive, so it has 468 accumulated and its assets are 20.

Finally, as of this Sunday, a total of 2,441,361 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 6,180 correspond to the previous day.
