Canary Islands registers 254 positives in the last 24 hours and one deceased person

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands provisionally notifies this Monday of 254 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19, bringing the total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands to 105,734, with 5,152 active, of which 39 are admitted to the ICU and 212 remain hospitalized.

In addition, in the last hours the death of a person in Fuerteventura has been reported, pending validation by Public Health.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 117.10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 217.05 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds this Monday 102 cases with a total of 49,922 accumulated cases and 2,116 epidemiologically active cases and Gran Canaria has 40,542 accumulated cases, 103 more than the previous day and 2,207 active.

Lanzarote adds 16 new cases with 7,650 accumulated and 187 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 5,387 accumulated cases, with 26 new cases, and 531 active and La Palma adds seven new positives, so it has 1,295 accumulated and 91 active.

El Hierro does not add new positives, so its accumulated are 469 and it has one active case and La Gomera does not add new positives either, so it has 468 accumulated and its assets are 19.

Until this Monday, a total of 2,445,691 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 4,330 correspond to this Sunday.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes in a note that these data published on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams.

In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the autonomous communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Therefore, the data contained in this press release may vary once they are epidemiologically reviewed and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so discrepancies may arise in the coming days in the update of the data contained in the Grafcan website.
