Canary Islands opens Covid-19 vaccination appointment for those over 40 years of age

In the non-capital islands, you can make an appointment to receive the additional dose or go without an appointment to the vaccination points

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports this Tuesday that people between the ages of 40 and 49 can now make an appointment to receive the booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19.

Thus, those born between 1972 and 1981 and who have been vaccinated with messenger RNA (Pzifer or Moderna) can make an appointment.

This group, made up of 322,041 people, will be able to receive the booster dose after six months.

In addition to those over 40, those vaccinated with two doses of AstraZeneca (or one of AstraZéneca and one of Pfizer) of any age range can make an appointment.

This group can be given the booster dose after three months.

Likewise, the Ministry reminds that people under 40 years of age who were vaccinated with Janssen can receive their dose after three months.

To receive this booster dose, those interested can make an appointment through the SCS 'app' miCitaPrevia or through the same application on the web or by calling 012, 922 470 012 or 928 301012.

In the non-capital islands, people over 40 years of age and those vaccinated with two doses of AstraZeneca can make an appointment to receive the additional dose or go without an appointment to the vaccination points of each island.
