Canarias adds a total of 1,040 new positives for Covid-19 among people over 60 years of age in the last four days, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the Pandemic.
In addition, the Archipelago registers a total of nine deaths from Covid since last Friday, of which three were reported in Tenerife, two in Gran Canaria, another two in La Palma and one in Fuerteventura. The deceased, aged between 59 and 98 years, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group amounts to 55,131 people in the Canary Islands. Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 730.25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 393.08.
Currently, there are 299 people hospitalized with coronavirus in the Archipelago, of which 18 are in the ICU and the rest, 281, are on the ward.
