The president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, has conveyed this Wednesday "the encouragement and support" of the Canarian people to the Valencian community in moments of "so much difficulty", after the passage of the DANA that has left at least 51 deaths in the region.

Fernando Clavijo has also expressed his encouragement and support to the State Security Forces and Corps that work in this emergency, in "moments of "extreme difficulty" helping people.

The condolences and support of the Canarian people has also been expressed by the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, as well as by the Minister of Welfare of the Canarian Government, Candelaria Delgado, and the island councilor for Social Action, Águeda Fumero.

"These are very complicated, very difficult moments, in the midst of catastrophic floods, and we want to express the affection of the people of Tenerife and the Canary Islands to the Valencian people in these moments of suffering and pain," Dávila added.

The statements of the regional and island authorities have been made before the signing of the VI Addendum to the Dependency Agreement in Tenerife.
