The Canary Islands has registered 2,053 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total number of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 120,209 with 16,642 active, of which 59 are admitted to the ICU and 291 remain hospitalized. Likewise, in the last hours the death of two people has been notified, an 84-year-old man in Tenerife and another 69-year-old man in Fuerteventura, both suffered from previous pathologies and were in hospital admission.
The Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 475.29 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days at 645.23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Until this day, a total of 2,583,790 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 14,245 correspond to the last 24 hours.
By islands, Tenerife adds 1,417 cases with a total of 58,729 accumulated cases and 9,786 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 44,391 accumulated cases, 424 more than the previous day and 4,774 active. Lanzarote adds 89 new cases with 8,292 accumulated and 518 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 6,248 accumulated cases, with 71 new cases and 1,295 active.
La Palma adds 26 new positives, so it has 1,517 accumulated and 186 active. El Hierro adds 8 new positives, so its accumulated are 500 and has 27 active cases. La Gomera adds 16 new cases, so it has 528 accumulated and its assets are 53.
