Canary Islands breaks its daily record of infections one more day with 2,669 new cases and adds three deaths

The Canary Islands has registered 2,669 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands rises to 122,878, while it has to regret the death of three people.

As reported by the Ministry of Health, in the islands there are 19,056 active, of which 58 are admitted to the ICU and 294 remain hospitalized.

The Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 541.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days at 751.12 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 1,736 cases with a total of 11,392 cases active epidemiologically; Gran Canaria has 662 more than the previous day and 5,332 active. Lanzarote registers 121 new cases with 624 active epidemiologically; Fuerteventura has 84 new cases and 1,378 active. La Palma adds 36 new positives, so it has 217 active. El Hierro adds 12 new positives, so it has 39 active cases. La Gomera adds 19 new cases, so its assets are 72.

Until this Wednesday, a total of 2,601,435 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 17,645 correspond to the last 24 hours.
