Canary Islands has registered eight deaths in the last three days, including that of a 36-year-old; the rest were between 73 and 92 years old.
All these people were hospitalized and had previous pathologies, specifies the Ministry of Health, which also reports 869 new infections by covid-19 among people over 60 years in the same period.
Currently, there are 283 people hospitalized with coronavirus in the archipelago, of which 27 are in the ICU and the rest, 256, are on the ward.
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, following the new indicators included in the Strategy for Surveillance and Control of the coronavirus agreed by the Ministry of Health with the Autonomous Communities, only reports on new cases and the accumulated incidence among those over 60 years of age.
The accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 50,473 people and the accumulated incidence for this age group at 14 days is 682.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days is 309.9.
