The Canary Islands has registered 555 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total number of accumulated cases in the Islands since the beginning of the pandemic is 107,897 with 6,420 active, of which 46 are admitted to the ICU and 244 remain hospitalized.
Also, in the last hours the death of a person in Gran Canaria has been notified, pending validation by Public Health.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 123.62 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 245.09 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Until this day, a total of 2,479,235 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 8,479 correspond to yesterday.
By islands, Tenerife adds this Saturday 201 cases with a total of 50,733 accumulated cases and 2,595 cases epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 41,428 accumulated cases, 223 more than the previous day and 2,753 active. Lanzarote adds 46 new cases with 7,786 accumulated and 222 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 5,653 accumulated cases, with 72 new cases and 721 active.
La Palma adds 13 new positives, bringing the total to 1,343 accumulated and 102 active. La Gomera does not register new positives, so it has 479 accumulated and its assets are 21. El Hierro does not add new positives either, so its accumulated are 474 and it has six active cases.
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands recalls that these data published today in the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams. In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Therefore, these data contained may vary once they are reviewed epidemiologically and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so in the coming days discrepancies may arise in the updating of the data contained in the Grafcan website.
