Canary Islands accumulates three days without deaths from Covid and registers 105 positives in the last day

Of the total cases, 6,157 are active, of which 58 are admitted to the ICU, 257 remain hospitalized and 5,842 are in their homes

The Canary Islands has registered 105 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago amounts to 93,363, while the deaths remain at 956 as no deaths have been added for the third consecutive day, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Of the total cases, 6,157 are active (-264), of which 58 are admitted to the ICU (+1), 257 remain hospitalized (-4) and 5,842 are in their homes (-261). In addition, 369 people have been discharged from hospital in the last few hours, so that 86,250 Canary Islanders have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.

As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at seven days in the Canary Islands, it drops to 35.48 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days drops to 83.78 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,052,196 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --4,357 in the last 24 hours--, of which 122,097 were positive, which represents 5.95 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 40 positives, accumulating 44,821 cases, of which 2,232 are epidemiologically active, 544 have died and 42,045 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 35,718 accumulated (+42), of which 3,624 are active, 325 have died and 31,769 have been discharged from hospital.

For its part, Lanzarote adds eleven positives, with 6,667 accumulated, of which 52 are active, while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,565 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura has 4,215 accumulated cases (+12), of which 226 are active, 17 have died and 3,972 have been discharged from hospital.

La Palma does not add cases in the last day, so it has 1,088 accumulated, of which nine are active, 15 have died and 1,064 have been discharged from hospital.

Finally, El Hierro has an accumulated total of 452 as it did not report any contagions, of which seven are active, four have died and 441 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera accumulates 401 cases (no change), of which seven are active, one has died and 393 have been discharged from hospital.
