A reader has sent a video to La Voz in which a driver from the public transport company Intercity Bus can be seen talking on his mobile phone while driving on line 60, which connects Playa Blanca and Arrecife.
In the recording, which lasts for more than a minute, it is clearly seen how the bus driver uses his cell phone to talk to someone without the slightest attempt to hide it, even though he is on duty and has passengers on board.
These actions endanger the lives of users who use this line, but also those of other drivers on the road.
According to the user who captured the scene, "this has happened on several occasions because I have taken line 60 and the supposed professional doesn't hesitate to make the journey talking on the phone."
Using a mobile phone while driving can result in a fine of up to 200 euros and the loss of up to six points on your license. In this case, the situation can become more serious if the transport company decides to take action, such as a possible dismissal from your job.
